I actually do not have that many pairs of shoes. I do however, think shoes can be art. I have seen some amazing shoes, I just can not manage to get away from my chacos and rain boots. Vintage shoes are what inspired this painting. I imagined this hanging in a dressing room with a lighted mirrored vanity and a feather collared silk robe.
